Women in HealthCare Week is a platform for stakeholders to use for recognizing women, inspiring youth, dialogue and showcasing support for women’s participation in the health sector.
All Signatories may hold or participate in an official Women in HealthCare Week event or activity. Events can be internal for staff, for clients or open to the public. All events are listed & promoted on the ANNISAA website.

HOLD AN EVENT
Hold a small to large activity during the Week. You can collaborate with others or put something together on your own that fits your messaging and diversity engagement goals. All events are listed & promoted on the ANNISAA website.
Host an External Activity for the Public or Industry
Host or collaborate on a breakfast, luncheon or reception that fosters dialogue and provides an opportunity to recognize women in the sector.
Hold an Internal Activity or Function
During the Week, engage your community by holding an internal career development activity or event to recognize individuals contributions.
Acknowledge Someone with a Women in HealthCare Week Award
Present one of your women with a Women in HealthCare Week Award. There are 5 categories (Leadership, Mentorship, Young Leader, Lifetime Achievement & Community Champion).
All recipients are profiled and featured on the ANNISAA’s website & through social media.
Inspire the next generation of women in health with role models or create awareness through a variety of activities, including:
Have a Rep or Alumni speak at a School
Have your Rep or alumni in any stage of their career presenting at a school. This is an easy way to participate in the Week and one of the most rewarding for the students and your women.
You can make arrangements yourself or have us help arrange for a rep to speak at a school, simply tell us who would like to present, what day during the week of September 4-8 they are available and if they are an alumni of any local High School or college.
Host a Site Visit or Tour
Invite a group of students to see what you do and to meet your people.
Run a Social Media Contest
Set up an awareness social media contest or campaign on what you do.
Make an Announcement Supporting Women
Make an announcement on an initiative you’re supporting for women.
