ANNISAA Community Center

ANNISAA Community Center was created when it was noticed that the community was in need of a place that provided programs, services, and resources. After several years of actively fundraising, holding events, and raising awareness, we are close to reach our goal of raising enough funds to open a community Center in Toronto!

The soon-to-be open Community Center will provide open meeting space for community members, groups, and other nonprofits, in addition to housing programming and a youth drop-in Center. Our goal is to provide a space that can be utilized by all and become the hub of our community.

Funds donated to ANNISAA Center will go to support a variety of programming put on by the center for our community members.

The organization has a rich history of supporting and promoting community events since its inception. In 2013, the Women’s Health Conference was introduced. In 2015, World Hijab Day Conference and ANNISAA Sports Day were launched and held in Toronto, which continues to be held each year!

Our mission is to establish and maintain a safe, empowering, and supportive Center in Toronto that addresses advocacy, education and services for the community.

Our vision is to Connect, Build, Empower, Strengthen, and Grow the community to celebrate diversity and sustain a thriving, community-based organization for the empowerment and support of people and our allies in Toronto.

Strengthen the network of support to increase innovative programs and services

Build a foundation to sustain a community center, where people of all ages and back grounds can come together for support, education, and social activities

Connect community members, organizations, and resources to encourage advocacy, cultural development, and personal well-being

The purpose of Our Center is for charitable and educational purposes, including, but not limited to, the support, education and advocacy of the Muslim women’s community in Toronto, including its members, allies, and those confronted with identity issues. In addition, we seek to promote awareness and acceptance, provide a safe and accepting environment for members of the community and their allies, and advocate for equality of all individuals.
